The Philadelphia Eagles will be missing a key cog on their offensive line as they pursue the NFC East division title.
After having an MRI on Monday morning, Eagles starting center Jamaal Jackson learned that he had a torn left ACL and would miss the rest of the season.
O-lineman Nick Cole was shifted over from the right guard position to take over for Jackson and although there were some miscues, head coach Andy Reid was satisfied with Cole’s play.
“We’re fortunate that we have Nick [Cole] here who is a center,” Reid told the philly.com.
“He’s on the same page as Donovan [McNabb] with the snap counts and everything.”
Listed as 3-point road ‘dogs, Philly can capture the division title if they can defeat the Dallas Cowboys this week.
Jackson suffered the injury in yesterday’s 30-27 victory over the Denver Broncos — the Eagles failed to cover as 7-point favorites.
